Dr. Jackson Pope

President/CEO

Dr. Pope joined COMPA in 2004. He is an inspirational, values-driven senior executive with nearly 30 years of success in leading for-profit and non-profit organizations, ranging from small firms to Fortune 50 companies. His career includes operational development and strategic planning with Anheuser-Busch Companies and operational management and program development with the Boston Rescue Mission. He is an innovative strategic thinker with exceptional planning, organizational and communications skills. Pope is a former police officer and currently works as a police chaplain with the Denver Police Department.

 

Pope holds graduate degrees in both business and finance and is a certified financial planner. He also holds a doctorate in ministry and is an ordained minister. Pope has held positions on various for-profit and non-profit Boards and currently sits on the Board of the AIDS Awareness and Assistance Fund (St. Louis) and the Advisory Board to the Boston Rescue Mission (Boston).  

 

Pope is married, the father of four kids and grandfather to 10.

 

 

John Fitzsimmons

Director, Operations

Fitzsimmons has served COMPA Ministries for nearly 10 years and is a steady presence around the ministry and with our agency partners. He oversees the day-to-day management of general operations, food production and distribution, acquisition and purchasing. Fitz is responsible for making sure that every element within our 50,000-square-foot facility is operating effectively. Before joining COMPA, he spent 10 years in sales and customer service, including two years with the Colorado Rapids Major League Soccer Club.

 

A die-hard soccer fan who lives for the World Cup, Fitzsimmons is married and the father of two sons. He has been a member of Arvada Baptist Church for 26 years and currently serves on the Deacon Board.

 

 

Greg Morton

Director, Marketing and Development

Starting his career as a radio disc jockey--actually playing vinyl record albums and carts--Morton spent more than two decades in the marketing and communications world before joining COMPA Ministries in 2009. Today, he wears a million and one hats for the ministry and is primarily responsible for marketing, communications and development efforts.

 

Morton has served in senior management roles for diverse companies in a variety of industries, he spent part of his career working in New York City and ran his own marketing and communications firm for nearly five years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English/communications and certifications from the University of Denver Publishing Institute.

 

Morton is a married father of three boys. He is an active mentor of elementary and middle school-aged kids through his work as a volunteer athletics coach, serves in Mountainview Community Christian Church’s children’s program and is involved in local Boy Scouts programs.

 

 
Elvia Rodriguez
Administrative Manager
Rodriguez is an integral part of what makes COMPA click! She joined the ministry in December 2007 and is responsible for daily inventory management of our food donations, financial donation tracking and reporting, human resources and volunteer management. Before joining COMPA, she worked for ten years at a food manufacturing plant, initially starting as receptionist and moving up to production scheduler and, finally, inventory manager.
 
She has worked in administrative roles for several years for for-profit companies which have required high levels of organization and attention to detail. She loves working with numbers.
 
Rodriguez is married and the mother of one wonderful daughter.
